What is Reiki?

Reiki is a completely non-invasive and very gentle yet powerfulenergy healing technique. It originated in Japan and works with your life-force energy to unclog any blockages so that your energy can flow freely.

Ahead of your first treatment, your therapist will carry outa detailed consultation with you. This is to find out more about you and get an idea of what you’d like to get out of the treatment. It is your therapist’s responsibly to store this information safely.  

You do not need to take off any clothes for a Reikitreatment (and there is even such a thing as distance healing where the therapist and client(s) is in different locations). Your therapist will talk to you about the best position for you, whether that’s lying down on a massage couch or sitting in a chair. 

During your treatment, which will normally start at yourfeet, your therapist will hover their hands just above your body, paying particular attention to your chakra points and spending more time over areas where they feel trapped energy. 

Your therapist will let you know when the treatment is over.You shouldn’t need to rush to get up – go slow and take your time. Your therapist will talk to you about what they found and give you some aftercare advice.
